1. Recruitment Rules: -
In respect of the post of Hostel Supdt-cum PTI the Recruitment Rules had already ben got notified vide Chandigarh Administration, Technical Education Department Notification No. P-525014/873/2025/1701 dated18.08.2025.
2. ICT Training of Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ employees of Chandigarh Administration: -
As per the orders of the Chandigarh Administration, this institute has been actively engaged in imparting ICT Training to the Group B and Group C officials of Chandigarh Administration, starting from 2018 and since then, have trained a sizable number of Group B & C officials in the ICT batches of 20 or 40 trainees each. During the current Year 2025-26, a total of 05 batches comprising approximately 125 employees of Chandigarh Administration has been imparted ICT training till 30.09.2025.
3. Training of School/College dropouts or unemployed Trainees in Short Term Courses under PMKVY 4.0: -
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY-CSCM) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The objective of this Skill Certification scheme is to enable Indian youth to take up industry relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. This Institute has been allocated a target of training 86 trainees by NSDC in four different courses under PMKVY Scheme namely, Customer Care Executive (Domestic Non Voice), Web Developer and Junior Software Developer and Business Correspondent Facilitator (Banking & Financial Services) with a target of more than 20 seats in each course and the same was successfully completed in each course till May 2025.
4. OJT Training: As per DGT, New Delhi Mandate, all the trainees of this institute were got deputed for undergoing mandatory 150 hours on the job training from May 2025 to June 2025 and the same was successfully completed by the said trainees for which they were awarded certificate of completing OJT by the concerned organizations.
5. Admission for the session 2025-26: The online admission process of this institute started w.e.f 01.05.2025 to 30.09.2025 during which a total of 507 trainees were admitted against the total sanctioned seats of 516 leading to 98% admission for the session 2025-26.
6. Training Under PM Vishwakarma Scheme: Two batches of Soft toy and Doll Making under PM Vishwakarma scheme was successfully trained from 20.06.2025 to 14.07.2025 and 24.07.2025 to 20.09.2025 at this institute.
7. Result of CTS Examination Session 2024-25: During the AITT CTS examination held in July – August 2025, a total number of 382 trainees appeared out of which 353 trainees were declared pass leading to 92.4% pass percentage.
8. Rangoli Competition was held on 16.10.2025 on themes of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan & Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
9. Vigilance awareness week celebrated in GITIW in the month of October 2025. Institute was organized a citizen Pledge, Slogans competition, Yoga, Poster Making competition.
10. "GITIW Convocation @2025, organized in October 2025, celebrated the academic achievements and distinguished accomplishments of our graduates."
11. An Awareness Camp on Menstrual Hygiene & Mental Health was conducted by the Institute on 14 November 2025 to promote informed health practices and support mental well-being.
