<p><u>ABOUT INSTITUTE</u></p>
<p> The Government Industrial Training Institute for Women is situated in Sector 11-C, Chandigarh. It was established after the partition of the Punjab as a result of amalgamation of the Zenana Industrial School and Lady Maynard Industrial School for Girls, Lahore. It was the research Institute of trades/crafts in Industrial School for Girls. The Institute is under the control of the Chandigarh Administration and runs on the pattern laid down by the Director-General of Training, Government of India. The Director of Technical Education, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is the overall incharge of the institute.</p>
<p>The Institute is headed by Er. Rajan Dogra, as Principal.</p>

<p> To establish the Institute as a Premier Industrial Training Institute of the region with Excellent Infrastructure and Environment, providing quality training & entrepreneurship, constructive partnership with Industries for developing globally competitive skilled workforce keeping pace with the technological demands of Industries and the society. We are dedicated to provide opportunity of training to students of rural and urban areas as per the norms of NCVT, Govt. of India.
